This program is designed for swimmers who have no previous synchronized swimming experience or who may want a TASTE of the competitive environment. The Junior Competitive Program is intended for young swimmers between the ages of 9 to 10. Swimmers should be able to swim 25 meters, tread water, and feel comfortable in the pool.
Your swimmer will enjoy learning the basics of synchronized swimming and will experience the fun of dancing in the water with other swimmers. The club's highly qualified coaches will introduce your swimmer to the basics of synchronized swimming and further develop your swimmer's swimming skills. Your swimmer will also participate in structured dry land training, which increases one's strength and flexibility, and a variety of team activities. Competing before judges and a large audience is thrilling. You can expect your swimmer to savor their first competitive season!!
Learning new synchronized swimming moves, developing skills and having fun, both in and out of the water, are the key aspects of this program.
Note: The ages indicated are based on LTAD guidelines. The coaches will determine proper placement of athletes in programs and on teams as per club policy.
Junior Competitive swimmers will attend the Provincial Qualifier, and Provincials as well as perform in the club's Year End WaterShow. Please see calendar for dates and details.
